Hiatus over! Let the Blogging commence.

Well folks, it’s been over 3 years since I last wrote a post from this blog, and that’s just not acceptable.  I’ve ghosted you, and I promise I’ll never do that againl; of course, according to the Qowat Milat, a promise is a prison, so let’s just say I’ll TRY to do better in keeping this thing informed and informal.

First things first!  Since South Africa (where the last post “iSimangalisio Night” originated), I’ve been to such far flung places as the Philippines, the Maldives, and all over the Caribbean, from Nassau to Cozumel – you can join me!  That’s right, you can come along virtually on my underwater expeditions through my YouTube Channel: The Undersea World of The Klute – YouTube. You can like and subscribe to my channel on YouTube (and I’d really appreciate it if you did!), but new content will be released a week early here on the Blog.   Get your sharks and rays and all manner of marine critters before anyone else.

I’ll be heading to Florida soon, where I’ll be doing night dives at the United States’ best shore dive – the Blue Heron Bridge, along with trying to unravel the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle (no, for real)!

I’m still writing and performing poetry too! This Wednesday, at the Rebel Lounge in Phoenix, I’ll be competing for the first time at the Ghost Poetry ShowGhost Poetry is run by a collective of poets from Phoenix (and for the first time in years, I’m not helping run or organize a Phoenix Metro-area slam – I’m just back to being a poet, and I love that).  I’m writing new stuff, and I expect to have a new book out just in time for Phoenix Fan Fest, Memorial Day weekend at the Phoenix Convention Center in, you guessed it, Phoenix.  If you’d like to see what I’ve been doing poetry-wise, check out this article from the Verde Valley News, or this one at InMaricopa, and more to come!

The shop is restocked!  Cap’n Klute’s Ocean Almanac is out of print, I’m afraid,  as some of the info is now out-of-date, but we’ve got a whole slew of tiki mugs ready to be slung, bags to carry your stuff, and still have some copies of “Chumming the Waters”.  Check out “The Shop” for quality Kluteiana.

A new chapbook is coming soon!  Watch this space for a release date and cover art!
